In quintessentially English surroundings, what could be more fitting than afternoon tea? At the Hog’s Back it’s a suitably indulgent affair. Classic finger sandwiches and exquisite sweet treats accompany the finest loose-leaf teas, an irresistible combination whether in the wicker chairs of the conservatory, the easy-going elegance of the restaurant, or outside in the sunshine of the gardens.
Freshly baked scone, clotted cream & Tiptree jam, a selection of homemade cakes & sandwiches including cream cheese, tuna mayonnaise and cucumber, Ham and English mustard, served with tea or coffee & a crisp glass of Prosecco.
Naughty but nice, and an all-too-occasional indulgence, treat them to buttery, freshly baked scones with lashings of clotted cream and Tiptree jam, served with the finest tea or coffee.
They say the kitchen’s the heart of the home, and the same can be said of the Hog’s Back. Talented chefs, dedicated to sourcing the very best ingredients, create daily specials to showcase the season’s finest flavours, and menus feature modern European dishes as well as British favourites. With room service available 12:00-21:00pm, sleepy Hog’s Back guests can also order in, whenever the fancy takes them.
